After a two day arbitration in Philadelphia, PA, Antranig Garibian, assisted by Greg Javardian, secured a victory on behalf of two homeowners who were sued by their general contractor for over $160,000.00 in damages. The contractor alleged that he was owed money for the renovation and construction of a new home in Philadelphia.
The homeowners acknowledged owing money for their kitchen appliances, but disputed the remainder of the contractor’s accounting. Moreover, the homeowners took issue with the quality and completeness of the work and attributed the substantial project delays to the contractor’s poor supervision of the various trades.
After a hard fought arbitration with detailed testimony regarding constantly changing invoices and incomprehensible accounting methods, the arbitrator found in favor of our clients, and merely awarded the contractor the monies owed for the appliances, which our clients did not dispute.
